TasTafe Alanvale
A visual anchor for belonging, reflection and connection to place.
Commissioned by TasTafe and managed by Arts Tasmania, this body of work for TasTafe’s Alanvale Campus responds to the dual themes of community and connection to place, grounding the redeveloped spaces of the ‘A’ block in the stories, forms, and flow of northern Lutruwita. These mural-like compositions acknowledge the three clans connected to this Country while creating a visual anchor for students, staff, and visitors. Expansive in gesture yet grounding in tone, the works are designed to welcome, orient, and spark quiet reflection within these communal learning spaces.
This commission was made possible by the Tasmanian Government’s Public Art Scheme managed by Arts Tasmania.
