Textured ochre pigment painting with raised, wavy bands over a muted grey-green ground; organic contour/woodgrain lines create a flowing, topographic feel.

Poimena Gallery

Curated by Tony Curran, Lag explored painting’s enduring relevance in an age dominated by screens and digital media. I contributed three works created with ochre pigments gathered from Country close to home, each a visual interpretation of the landscapes from which the ochre was collected. Exhibiting alongside artists including Leah Bullen, Gregory Hodge, Annika Koops, and Troy Ruffels, the show positioned painting as a medium of presence, connection, and slow contemplation.
